Handcrafted Wines, Family-Grown Roots
At the heart of our winery is a legacy three generations in the making. Our grandfather Ralph began it all after learning the art of winemaking in his hometown of Abruzzi, Italy. He brought that old-world knowledge and passion with him when he founded our winery, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong family tradition. Our maternal grandfather, a vineyard owner in Puglia, also shaped our journey—each summer, my brother Ralph and I (Vito) would spend our days working the vines, learning to respect the land, the process, and the patience it takes to craft truly great wine.
Today, Ralph and I proudly carry on that tradition, producing all of our wines by hand with the same integrity and care passed down to us. We craft our wines without any added flavorings or colorings, letting the quality of the grapes speak for itself. We thoughtfully source our fruit from top vineyards in California, Italy, and Washington State, allowing us to bring a variety of rich, expressive flavors to our collection—each bottle a reflection of our heritage, our values, and our love for the craft.

From Our Family To Yours
What sets our wines apart is our commitment to tradition and purity. Every bottle is handcrafted by us—without the use of artificial flavorings, colorings, or shortcuts. This hands-on process, rooted in generations of family knowledge, allows the true character of the grape to shine through. It’s a slower, more intentional way of winemaking—and that’s exactly what makes it so special.

Crush
We begin with top-quality grapes, carefully hand-sorted and cleaned to ensure only the best fruit makes it into our wines. The grapes are then run through our crusher de-stemmer, which gently separates the stems and lightly crushes the fruit—leaving us with fresh grape juice and pulp. This step is essential in preserving the integrity and flavor of the grape as we begin the winemaking process.

Aging
Our aging process is carefully tailored to bring out the best in each wine. We age our whites, rosés, and sweet wines in stainless steel tanks to preserve their crispness, freshness, and bright fruit character. For our reds, we use high-quality Silver Oak barrels—known for their exceptional craftsmanship and balanced oak influence. Each barrel is used no more than three times, allowing us to impart just the right amount of structure and depth without overwhelming the wine’s natural flavors. This thoughtful approach ensures every bottle reflects the purity and personality of the grapes.

Primary Fermentation
Once the grapes are crushed, the juice enters primary fermentation—the stage where it transforms into wine. We hand-select specific yeast strains for each grape variety, carefully chosen to influence the wine’s style, alcohol level, and acidity. This thoughtful pairing brings out the best in each grape, creating balanced, expressive wines that stay true to their character.

The Press
After fermentation, we press our grapes with great care, using a gentle approach to avoid extracting harsh or bitter acids. By not pressing too hard, we preserve the wine’s natural balance and ensure a cleaner, more refined flavor—allowing the true quality of the grape to shine through.

Bottling
Our fully automated bottling line is designed to preserve the quality and longevity of every wine we produce. Before filling, we use nitrogen to remove oxygen from each bottle, helping to prevent premature oxidation and lock in freshness. We seal every bottle with all-natural cork, chosen for its ability to allow subtle aging and promote the wine’s development over time. It’s a modern process rooted in traditional care—ensuring each bottle is ready to enjoy now or age beautifully for years to come.

Bottle Aging
Before any of our wines are released for sale or served at our winery, they undergo careful bottle aging and rigorous tasting. Each vintage and varietal is allowed the time it needs to settle and develop in the bottle, ensuring optimal balance and expression. Throughout this process, we personally taste and evaluate each wine to confirm it meets our standards for quality, character, and readiness. This commitment to patience and precision ensures that every bottle we share reflects the very best of our craft.

"10/10 service. Came by on a Friday Afternoon to have a glass of wine under the pergola. We were greeted by Angela who suggested a Montepulciano- one of the best I have ever had. The owner Vito came over to us as soon as he got here and suggested a few other wines after asking what we like. Every recommendation was quickly and happily consumed. Cannot recommend Boston Winery enough!!"

“To say that I love this place is a serious understatement. It's family owned and operated, so you get to meet the people who run the place and make the wine, and they tell you a little bit about their family and how Boston Winery came to be. The building is also really beautiful and has a very cool history. The hospitality of the people and overall ambiance of the place really make the experience special. AND the wine is FANTASTIC! I haven't had one I haven't liked.”
